The Palomar is a knot favored by many.
It works well with mono and most braided lines.
*Double about ten inches of line and pass
the loop through the eye. **Let the
lure or hook hang loose and tie an overhand knot in the doubled line. Avoid twisting the line and don't over tighten.
***Pull the loop of line far enough to pass
it over the lure or hook. Make sure the loop passes completely over the
entire lure. ****To tighten, pull the
end while holding the standing line. Clip the end, make sure it's snug,
and you're ready to go. |

 |
The Clinch Knot
is easy to tie, and works well with mono of 20-pound test and under.
*Pass the line through the eye of the
lure. Double back and make five turns around the standing line.
**Holding the line in place, thread the end
of the line through the first loop of the knot, then through the big
loop. ***Hold the end of the line
while pulling up the coils and slack. Make sure the coils are in a
spiral, not overlapping each other. Slide knot tight against the lure. |

Although the Weedless In-Lines can be fished a variety of ways, they
were designed primarily for the weedy and grassy edges. Look for
natural lanes in the water's vegetation filled with pockets and openings.
Cast deep into the vegetation working the lure out slowly like a Texas Rig. Hold the rod tip high when bringing the lure over the
top
side of the structure. As the lure approaches a pocket or an
opening in the vegetation let the rod tip down allowing the lure to drop
into the pockets. Slowly return the lure to the high side of the
vegetation and continue this pattern with all pockets and openings in
the cast lane. Note: Attaching a split weight to the cup of the
hook helps control line twist. |

The Dressed Treble as well as the
Flapper below were designed for open water
casting along Jetties, Dams, Piers, etc. The three sizes offered
allow the user to adjust running depth and speed. These lures can
be as simple as cast and retrieve, or can be danced and dropped at
various depths adjusting retrieve speed along the way. The laser
sharp trebles help ensure a solid hook set. The problem with all
lures equipped with trebles is snagging along weed beds and other
structure. Care must always be taken to keep the lure high enough
off the bottom and far enough away from structure to avoid a snagging
headache. |
|
|
 |
One of the unique qualities of the Flapper
is the tail blade. This blade is attached to the split ring along
with the treble hook. Because the blade can't rotate, the blades
action against the water makes it fight against the treble creating both
a fish attracting sound like a rattle trap and the appearance of a
wounded fish as it fights against the water. One method many use
when fishing this lure, is trolling the lure behind a heavy keel weight.
Use anywhere from a 3/4 to 1-1/2 ounce swiveled keel weight trailing a
three to six foot leader with the 1/2oz Flapper. This works well
off points when fish are running shallow. |

The Skirted In-Line is a fantastic lure to
work. This lure is offered in 3/8 and 1/2 ounce sizes with a
variety of color combinations to match almost any water clarity and
temperature. As the fish turn on to different bait sources during
the season, match up your lure to the colors of that bait source.
This lure can be easily danced or straight retrieved. The silicon
skirts create an incredible lifelike motion. The Skirted In-Line
is an excellent lure to slow drop along submerged structure, jigging and
dancing an intermittent retrieve. The lures design helps it drop
smoothly as you raise and lower your rod tip. |

The Weedless Spinner is a classic and
proven design that has to be included in any decent line of wire baits.
We offer this lure in a variety of the most popular 3/8 and 1/2 ounce
options. With its single upturned laser sharp hook protected from
most would-be snags by the extended blade arm, the Weedless Spinner can
move gracefully through a majority of structure types. Although
not as weedless as the Weedless In-Lines, the Weedless Spinner is a
close second. Look for pockets along rocks, logs or fallen trees.
Slightly alter your retrieve depths and speed. This excellent lure
can also be fished tightly along almost any structure from dams to boat
docks or submerged trees. |

The Crappie Bug is part of a
series designed for smaller or less aggressive fish. This lure
is for ultra light spinning gear. With only a single
Indiana Willow blade, the turbulence and noise created by the
Crappie Bug is lightened to a
slight hush while the half density skirt gives off the appearance of a
smaller, less challenging bait. When strikes are hard to come by,
tie on a
Crappie Bug and watch the action pick up.
Cast this lure off Dams, Jetties, Piers, or along the Docks, and the
Crappie Bug will trigger strikes. |

The Walleye Wobbler is one of the best
performing all-purpose crank baits we've ever used. When idle,
this is a floating bait, so every retrieve starts from the surface and
works it's way anywhere down to about 8' depending on how hard you work
it. Lay it up closer to bank structure and work it shallow with a
slow twitch and stop motion. Or you can start working the bait
slower close in and pick up your retrieve as the water deepens.
This lure is also excellent for casting along submerged structure and
very hard to beat for slow trolling. The erratic motion and extra
loud rattle make this lure an angler's choice. |

The Skirted Bait Harness is a nice
addition to the Texas rigged concept used by plastics fishermen
everywhere. Lightly weighted with a solid brass skirt collar,
silicon skirt and translucent head bead, the Skirted Bait Harness adds a
little more color and motion to that same graceful drop that plastics
bring. Slap this lure up close to the shore structure and retrieve
with a slow jigging motion pulling your rod tip up and then letting it
drop. The skirt adds a graceful Bass appetizing motion.
Repeat this pattern throughout the retrieve. Also works well
pulling this lure from the top of Lilly Pads and other vegetation. |

The Chatter Jig is one of the most
versatile baits you can tie on your line. You can cast and
retrieve this lure almost anywhere you'd use Weedless Spinners, or let
it drop along sunken structure, humps and drop-offs and work it like a
jig. The unique blade design gives this lure an erratic action
that rings in Bass like a dinner bell. Work this lure for five
minutes and you'll see why it's one of the most popular Bass lures on
the market. Cast fairly tight along structure varying your
retrieve speed and depths until you pick up the pattern of the fish.
Because of it's versatility, this is a "go to" lure all season long. |
